You’ll find lots of articles and helpful links to learn to work with Photoshop as your digital scrapbooking software of choice. Agreed, Photoshop is on the high end of the pricing scale however, when it comes to creating graphics, it is the industry standard!  I’ve also included links to books at Amazon and other training that is available on the web. As anyone who reads my blog may remember, I was accepted to be on SKrapper Digitals creative team a while back. We’ve become great friends and chat all the time. Part of my responsibility is to announce her new kits which I have been a tad remiss on doing. Until today. I have had the great honor of having an entire kit created just for me and includes all the things I love! I honestly think that this is her absolute best kit to date and I’m not just saying that because it’s named after me. Just as an example, here are some layouts I did with it:

It’s perfect for all your gardening, mothers day, any day photographs you have to scrap and you can get it at My Scrap Shop. It was so big, there was enough for the mega kit AND an add on! There was a time when taking pictures and collecting them could really burn a big hole in your pockets. Besides the photo taking, we needed to consider the best place for them to be developed so that you would get the best photo quality. After that, you still needed to buy the supplies you needed to make a scrapbook. Eventually, you would finally see the end results. Unfortuantely you wound up with only a few dollars left in your pocket.

Maybe you have heard the term, “simple scrapbooking” and have some ideas about what it is. But what exactly is simple scrapbooking and what are the components that gave it its name?

A simple scrapbook is not your usual album that relies on chronological events. It does not focus on the usual things such as family traditions, daily routines, hopes, and dream. It sits itself outside the traditional album. It is small, short and more manageable. It is simple and focuses on the sidelights of your life or the small details that can sometimes be
overlooked by the usual things that matter to you. In other words, the traditional scrapbook is like moments taken in pictures while simple scrapbook are the things that happen before and after the pictures were taken.
