My apologies if you’ve come here to find out more about digital scrapbooking within the last few months. I’ve been laid up with no internet. I had to have partial knee replacement surgery that did not completely fix the pain I was having so now I have to have another operation week after next.
Now that I have my internet back and will be on the road to recovery (I hope, lol) I will be back here more often to update you on what’s going on in the world of Digital Scrapbooking and hopefully inspire you to get started!!
Thanks!

I know how very difficult it is for designers of digital scrapbook kits to do what they do now. I had a really hard time accomplishing this but I thought giving it a try might broaden my horizons, so to speak. I know I’ve tried it before but it was soooo long ago that I wasn’t sure how it was going to go, lol
You can see it here and the download link is here on 4shared. It’s part of an even bigger members collaborative kit that we work on the entire month at the My Scrap Shop forums. There is still time to get in on the fun if you’d like just join up at My Scrap Shop, introduce yourself and I’ll see you there!
Here is the article that appeared at DSD-Pro when I did a spotlight interview with PaintChip otherwise known as Cindy Angiel. I’ve told you about DSD before and things are just getting better and better over there. I hope you’ll pay a visit and see all the digital scrapbooking business help that they offer. And while you’re there, be sure to listen to my interview!
“Trish Frye is the owner of a business blog called Digital Scrapbooking at Marketing Mainstay. She uses this blog to offer general information and product reviews to digital scrapbook hobbyists. Click on over there to see what she’s offering her visitors. She’s also recently launched a new online directory for digi-scrapbook websites that can help website owners rank higher in search engines by encouraging your website visitors to “vote” for your site once you’re in the directory listing. It’s called Simply Scrappin Sites and it’s a service that’s provided free of charge with a simple ad swap agreement. Visit this new directory listing, be one of the very first to vote for DSD-Pro and sign up on the list yourself too. Trish is now looking to expand her consulting career by creating online tutorials that teach marketing concepts to digi-scrappers who have a web presence.
In this podcast interview, Trish tells us her take on the importance of time management and the need to dedicate a significant amount of time to your business. She says as an “information provider” her blog is an invaluable business tool she simply can’t live without. Her advice includes telling new entrepreneurs to start off right by getting a grip on where you fit into the industry and Trish also encourages digi-scrap professionals to actively pursue conversation marketing and social marketing as well.
Listen to this 15-minute podcast to hear more about her industry insights and advice to digi-scrap business owners.”

If you’ve ever put a scrapbook page together one of the most challenging aspects can be the journaling. Today I want to share with you an article I found that offers some great tips for journaling your pages.
So I present:
Tips for Scrapbook Journaling
by J Isaacs

Think of all the times your children have said something so profound, that your first thought is I need to write that down! only to be kept tucked away in your memory and possibly forgotten along the way. Journaling in a scrapbook and keeping with photos of the family members as they grow will ensure that not only the images are preserved, but also the personalities and characteristics of each are remembered as well.
Some people choose to hand write their journal entries directly onto their scrapbook paper, while others prefer to key them into the computer and have fun with choosing the appropriate font styles, etc. Either way, for those who love to write, this will be a fun and rewarding task. And for those who are apprehensive about writing, the following tips should hopefully bring some encouragement.
